The Problem of Learning Mathematics in School

The research show that majority mathematics teachers still use traditional mathematics learning, that is mathematics learning with use expository single method with cycle like explain, give example, give question and give task in classical. Through the cycle of diagnosis task, the research have purpose to improve mathematics learning method that can fulfill need/demand various kind of students academic demand, improve study achievement, motivate students studying with active, improve props and promote cooperation. Learning context that regular is classroom, students and teachers; learning context that can vary is learning model, learning style and other learning aspect like material, teaching source and learning time.
Development of mathematics learning model through action research is to overcome teacher service problem to their students that can give positive impact, but in actualization run into obstacle that like technical, academic, or also socio-cultural.
Teacher effort in fulfill various kind students academic demand, drive students with low achievement to increase their achievement, drive students to active study, and drive students studying with cooperative can do with:
a.       Develop Students Task Sheet (LKS)
b.      Formation studying group
c.       Development discuss method in class/group
d.      Development tool model and media education
In effort to develop learning model can conclude:
a.       Teachers still experience difficult in fulfill some kind students academic demand
b.      Teachers not yet development scheme to drive students with low achievement to improve their achievement.
c.       Teachers have success create condition that can make their students active studying, but still difficult to develop their scheme.
d.      Teachers have success create condition that can make their students cooperative in studying, but still difficult to develop their scheme.
e.      Teachers have effort develop discuss method, problem solving, exercise and give tasks, but still difficult to develop their scheme.
f.        In general, teachers have effort to develop learning method that suit with research action, but teachers have technical, academic and fundamental problem.
The technical problem from teachers is develop learning method that is not yet availability tools or learning facilities that necessary. Academic problem from teachers in develop learning method is incompatibility of teachers perception about mathematics learning model with meaning of learning model with theory that reffered.
