Revitalization Mathematics Education

To understand basic thing about how and where mathematics education will developed is not easy. Mathematics education development in global, be marked with a shift of education center from educator to the educated. From research showed that research results is put the educated as central in education will give large implication and different than with put educator as central point. Revitalization mathematics education try put important role of teacher to realize mathematics education that more suit with the most realize of educate and substance scientific that is object for learning itself. Until now there is not yet agreement about the best method how to teach mathematics. There is a research ‘large scale survey’ in English, and that research recommend in each level, mathematics learning should give chance for teacher to use teaching method option that adjusted with ability level of student and the teaching materials as follow:
        1.      Exposition method by teacher
        2.      Discussion method, between teacher with student and among students
        3.      Problem solving method
        4.      Investigation method
        5.      Basic skills training method
        6.      Application method
      Revitalization mathematics education is effort in where direction the mathematics education practitioner given chance to do self reflection, then confronted to taking attitude on the basis of basic studies deep against new paradigm that offered. Recognized that not easy to realize revitalization education without awareness and greatness of soul with the macro or micro our education world. If not like this so the paradigm of mathematics education will still be utopia that just be mere rhetoric. There is some suggestion for teacher in order to realize revitalization mathematics education that can grow student creativity:
      1.      Preparation of teaching
·         Plan the learning environment of mathematics
·         Plan mathematics activity
      2.      Learning step
·         Develop teacher role
·         Set time to who and when do mathematics activity together/not together with students
      3.      Evaluation step
·         Observe students activity
·         Evaluation our self
·         Assess understanding, process, ability, fact and result
·         Assess result and monitoring students progress
